Just Jack
"Lovefool" [The Cardigans]
Radio 1: Established 1967

Just Jack is, as the name implies, essentially one guy. He does a kind of hip hop/electro hybrid called garage in the UK.

This cover comes from a compilation created for the 40th anniversary of BBC Radio 1. It had contemporary artists covering some of the biggest hits from the history of BBC Radio 1. Other cowbell songs on this compilation include The Kooks' version of Ace of Base's "All That She Wants" and Kylie Minogue doing Roxy Music's "Love Is the Drug."

Percussion consisting of tambourine, hand claps, and cowbell drive the song along. Splashes of horns and the shuffling beat give it the song a very laid back feel. This cover is rather different than the original. You may not even recognize it, if it weren't for that catchy-as-hell chorus, which is sung beautifully by Jim and Andy from The Office here:

The Bell Score: 3.69698
